ArtiFix Platform — Conditions of use, free donations and sponsorships

1. Premise and Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the ArtiFix platform ("the Service"), accessible at https://www.artifix.it and https://artifix.streamlit.app ("the Site").

The Service is managed by ArtiFix, a personal non-profit project ("the Manager"), contactable at info@artifix.it.

By using the Service, the user ("the User") fully accepts these Terms. If you do not accept them, you must not use the Service.

2. Service Description

ArtiFix is a free web platform offering:

Conversion of CAD/CAM and 3D mesh files between 50+ formats
Automatic repair of damaged 3D meshes
Interactive 3D visualization of models
Intelligent diagnosis of meshes with suggestions
Generation of diagnostic PDF reports

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.

3. Free Nature and Sustainability

3.1 Free Service

The Service is offered completely free. No mandatory registration is required.

3.2 Free Donations

The Service is sustained through voluntary free donations from users and companies wishing to support the project.

Donations:

Are voluntary and not mandatory
Do not constitute consideration for a commercial service
Do not grant rights to additional services beyond the free ones
Are not refundable once made

3.3 Visibility Sponsorship

Companies that make a free donation may receive, at the Manager's discretion, a visibility recognition in the form of a banner (300×100 px) in the app sidebar for 30 days.

This recognition:

Is not a sale of advertising space
Does not constitute a commercial relationship
Does not generate tax obligations or invoicing
Is revocable at any time by the Manager

4. User Obligations and Responsibilities

4.1 Lawful Use

Use the Service only for lawful purposes
Not upload illegal files, files protected by third-party copyright, or malware
Not use the Service for fraudulent or harmful activities

4.2 Content

The User is solely responsible for uploaded files
The User warrants having the necessary rights to the files
The User holds harmless the Manager from any liability arising from uploaded content

4.3 Prohibitions

It is forbidden to:

Attempt to access unauthorized parts of the Service
Intentionally overload the servers
Extract data or code by automated means (scraping)
Resell or redistribute the Service
Remove or modify trademarks or copyright notices

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Manager's Rights

All rights to the Service (code, design, trademarks, content) belong to the Manager or their respective owners.

"ArtiFix" is a de facto trademark of the Manager.

5.2 User's Rights

The User retains all rights to uploaded files.

5.3 File Privacy

Uploaded files are:

Processed in temporary memory
NOT stored on servers
NOT shared with third parties
Deleted at the end of the session

6. Warranty Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (but not limited to):

Merchantability warranties
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement of third-party rights
Absence of errors or interruptions
Accuracy of results

The Manager does not guarantee that:

The Service is always available and error-free
Conversion/repair results are accurate
Files are always processed correctly

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Manager is not liable for:

Direct or indirect damages arising from use of the Service
Loss of data or files
Service interruptions
Damage to devices or software
Content uploaded by users
Actions of third parties

The User uses the Service at their own risk.

8. Changes to the Service and Terms

8.1 Service Changes

The Manager reserves the right to:

Modify Service features
Suspend or discontinue the Service
Restrict access to certain users

Without notice.

8.2 Terms Changes

The Manager may update these Terms at any time.

Changes will be published on this page with an update date.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Links to Third-Party Sites

The Service may contain links to third-party sites (e.g. PayPal, GitHub).

The Manager:

Does not control such sites
Is not responsible for their content
Does not guarantee their security

Access to third-party sites is at the User's risk.

10. Termination

The Manager may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, without notice, in case of:

Violation of these Terms
Improper use of the Service
Requests from competent authorities

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law.

For any dispute, the Court of [Manager's City] has exclusive jurisdiction.

⚠️ Note: If the Manager is a consumer, the competent court is that of the consumer, pursuant to Art. 33 of the Italian Consumer Code.
